The Schomburgk Brothers (Robert and Richard), visited British Guiana in the 1830s and 1840s, almost 200 years ago. Between them, their contributions ranged from botany and ethnology to travel writing and surveying.
This talk continues the Eyewitness Series of talks. It will dip into several of their publications to give a sense of the scope and depth of their research.
The talk will be hosted by Russel Lancaster.
Tea will be provided by Homemade with Love.
Tickets must be purchased in advance (preferably before Friday 24th May).
