This sequel looks at the life and work of Mahadai Das [1954-2003] after the publication of her first collection of poetry. Once again, the recording draws on writing by Denise de Caires Narain Gurnah and Jeremy Poynting to analyse Mahadai’s poems, her politics, her sense of identity and her poetic technique. The recording includes a recital of several of Mahadai’s poems by Stanley Greaves.
