This recital was dedicated to the sequence of poems in Jail Me Quickly, first published in New World Fortnightly in 1964. New World was a locally-produced periodical that was intended to “offer a forum for political and cultural debate that was non-partisan, but which interrogated the post-colonial future of Guyana and the Caribbean” [University of Hunger: Gemma Robinson 2006:p266].

The poems are:
Black Friday 1962
After One Year
What Can a Man Do More
Where are Free Men
Childhood of a Voice

There is an introduction and commentary by Dr Gemma Robinson. Readers are Konyo Addo, Jasper Adams, Stephanie Bowry, Stanley Greaves and Lloyd Marshall.
