A Heritage Walk took place on Sunday 27th May, 2018 to celebrate Guyana’s independence and built heritage.
The Walk was devised by Bert Carter under the auspices of Moray House Trust and commenced at 7.30 am from St Andrew’s Church, Georgetown.`

The walk proceeded north along the Avenue of the Republic ( High Street) towards the Cenotaph at Church and Main Streets.
Bert’s commentary focussed on St Andrew’s Kirk, Parliament Building, The Magistrate’s Court, High Court, City Hall, City Engineer’s Office, Demerara Mutual, Hand-in-Hand, St George’s Cathedral and the Cenotaph.
