Date: Friday 4th September 2015Internationally acclaimed Lokono Arawak artist, George Simon lives at present in Paraguay where he paints full-time. Every September he visits Guyana to participate in the annual Amerindian Heritage Month exhibition at the National Gallery and to conduct archaeological surveys in the middle Berbice River.

Throughout his career, George’s paintings and murals have been the site of an intense personal dialogue with diverse sacred and spiritual traditions of his native Guyana, as well as other countries in which he has lived across the years including England, Haiti, Chad, Canada and Mexico.
