Major General (rtd) Joe Singh presents his views

In the course of the talk, Major General (rtd) Joe Singh outlined in some depth the type and scale of initiatives in the hinterland of Guyana and the possible implications for the country. “It’s time we take stock of the infrastructure capital and determine how we are going to use it,” he said. “We have to look strategically at how to make this infrastructure work for us.”

He concluded that “there are certain strategic goals which we must all subscribe to” and that “our education system must be reflective of the changes that are likely to take place. We have to recognise that new skills are required.”

The talk can be heard in tandem with the slideshow and the full transcript of the slides by clicking on the link (green text) below.
