Activity: Public Lecture

On Thursday, August 25, 2016, Moray House Trust hosted a public lecture by Dennis de Caires, a Guyanese-born artist. Elfrida Bissember introduced Dennis and his work to the audience. Dennis’ lecture and slideshow, entitled “Demerara and Paris”, traced his journey from school in Georgetown (St. Stanislaus) to his study of painting (at the Royal College of Art in London and at Cite Internationale in Paris) and his subsequent career as an artist and educator. He currently serves as External Examiner for the Burrowes School of Art in Georgetown.
